The final workshop of the Condor project took place last week, on 16 and 17 February, in Horta, Azores. The meeting was organized to assess the results of the project which will end in April 2011. Condor workshop brought together researchers, students and technicians from the Department of Oceanography and Fisheries of the University of the Azores, the Portuguese Institute of Sea and Fisheries Research of Lisbon and the Institute of Marine Research in Norway and counted with the participation of representatives of local government and associations of stakeholders .

A new equipment have been deployed on the Condor scientific observatory on 15 October 2010. It is an acoustic lander, a structure provided with an echo sounder, used to study the organisms in the water column.
