Special issue on Condor seamount
deepsearesearchThe Special Issue “An Integrated Approach for Studying Seamounts: CONDOR Observatory”  published on the scientific journal Deep Sea Research Part II - Topical Studies in Oceanography is now available online. This volume, a compilation of various scientific works conducted at Condor seamount, includes 18 articles, counted with the participation of more than 50 scientists, and was edited by Eva Giacomello, Gui Menezes and Odd Aksel Bergstad . The CONDOR Special Issue includes contributions on the characterization of the Condor environment, its fauna and even the human dimension of this ecosystem.

Condor stakeholders workshop
condor_workshop_3The workshop of Condor seamount stakeholders took place on 29 March 2011, at Horta, Azores. The meeting intended to gather all the users of the Condor seamount and local authorities, to present some of the results obtained during the Condor project, and exchange ideas and views on the future management of the Condor seamount.

CONDOR project workshop 2009

grupo_workshopThe first CONDOR project workshop was held in Horta, Azores, on 10 and 11 December 2009. The workshop involved a total of 40 scientists, students and technicians, from the Department of Oceanography and Fisheries of the University of the Azores and from the Portuguese Institute of Marine Research, IPIMAR, Lisbon.
